In Which I Go To Four Shakespeare Shows, King's College, and Windsor Castle

I am completely and utterly blessed to be here in this place with these marvelous people. I am currently sitting in my friend Becca's room with Becca and Katie (FROM AUSTRALIA! That never ceases to be exciting...) and we are having an "antisocial teenage computer party" (with the Beach Boys!) because we all have essays due for our morning classes but I'm taking a break to post again. So I am incredibly lucky to be here because, although this is only one reason of many, I've gotten to see four Shakespeare shows already. The first one was Hamlet and it was performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company. It was performed in the private gardens of King's College that are usually only open to professors at King's College at Cambridge Uni but they opened the gardens for this. All of the shows are done outside because that's how Shakespeare is here. So this performance was absolutely incredible and I understood exactly what was going on because the acting and the pacing were perfect. I had never really seen Shakespeare done before so this was an absolutely incredible experience. The Cambridge Shakespeare Festival is currently going on in Cambridge and so we have gotten to see three other shows in the gardens of other colleges, so I have some pictures from those. I forgot to take pictures at Hamlet and The Merry Wives of Windsor, but some of my friends have LOTS of pictures from Hamlet and it was POURING RAIN at Merry Wives so we were all trying to survive the freezingness and pictures weren't high on the priority list, but the show was awesome!

The set from The Taming of the Shrew

These are all pictures of the college and the gardens where we saw the show.

The set from The Tempest. It was raining here too so I didn't really take good photos.

We went on an excursion to King's College Chapel and I have some photos from that. All of the photos of my friends and I are on my friends' cameras because my camera has mood swings so I try not to make other people use it while taking group photos. Plus, I'm trying not to be "that guy" who always adds the millionth camera to the stack so you have to pose in the same way forever so when I get around to getting those photos I'll post them.

WE FOUND A THEATRE!!!!

And then we went to Windso Castle. It was pretty awesome. These photos are basically self-explanatory...

For any One Direction fans, we were at Nando's!

Katie was hungry...

THE QUEEN WENT TO HELLO DOLLY!!!!!!!

So that's about it for now. I have to go to calss now. Tonight we're going to see Julius Caesar, which is my favorite so I'm really excited!
